1- Being a miss Ireland, why have you choose tollywood industry to start you career? 

Ans- Modelling was never my passion. I studied acting for 7 years. I have bachelors degree and 2 master degree in acting. I was first a theatre artist but during Covid everything stopped, so I began my pageant journey. 

Ogo Bidishini was one of the first movies to be shot in London post Covid. I was so honoured to be selected for the part of Suzanne. 

Once I arrived in Kolkata, everything changed. The people of kolkata stole my heart. I was welcomed into the fascinating culture, everyone was so generous and nice. 

I haven’t experienced this anywhere else in the world. In comparison, western people are pretty rude. 

Bengali’s can go from a stranger to a friend in a matter of minutes. I found my home here. 

2- Any negative word which demotivated you after coming to kolkata and starting your career? 

Ans- When I first arrived, most people in the industry told me to go home. It was said out of love, their logic was- what opportunities could a foreigner gain here.  

But I had this feeling in my heart, in my gut, I needed to stay in Kolkata. Sometimes we

have soul connections which cannot be

explained ... it was destiny. 

3- How excited you were, when you have got to listen that you will be winning the best actress for ogo bideshini? 

Ans- I gave everything to Ogo Bideshini, my heart, my soul, my kidneys…. This movie was my baby. It was my opportunity to show people what I can do. 

Winning best actress internationally was an amazing achievement and I was just so happy I could bring home the win for Bengal! This was the only Bengali movie to be selected in the whole festival. The south and bollywood industries are dominating in the festivals, but Bengali cinema is coming back!

I traveled alone over 6000 miles away from home. Sacrificed time with my family. I had one goal, to be successful! To make my family proud and my dreams come true. This award proves that following my heart was right decision. 

4- How Eskay movies is looking into this joy? 

Ans- If it wasn’t for Eskay I wouldn’t be here. My first production house and I will always be extremely grateful to them. Eskay is where my journey began. 

5- Where do you want to see yourself in next 5 years? 

And- In Kolkata!!! I have some very BIG bengali projects coming! Unfortunately I have signed a ‘do not disclose’, so I cannot tell you much more. But what I can tell you is, my future is in Bengal.
